English Language Training

To get the best out of any training, students need a good understanding of the language in which it is being taught. For some overseas students, who speak English as a second language, this may present a barrier to their success. So to equip them with the necessary language skills they need to succeed, we have a specialist team who design and deliver in-depth English language training programmes.

Thanks to our partnering arrangement with the Royal Navy, students drawn from military organisations and commercial companies can train within the Navy’s own training establishments where they become part of the local student community, giving them an excellent opportunity to mix with native English speakers.

Our structured learning programmes incorporate relevant terminology from the appropriate industry sector to help aid the transition to the students’ technical training that follows. And our training meets the Royal Navy’s own rigorous standards, which have been used and continually refined since the 1970’s.

Our tailored approach appeals not only to defence organisations but also to commercial customers where our bespoke English language training programmes for other specialist sectors, such as the aerospace industry, are in high demand.

Our English language training team work hand-in-hand with VT Flagship’s Training Technology Group, to ensure that training technology solutions are built into our programmes so students receive the best learning experience to meet their needs.

We can deliver training within the Royal Navy’s establishments, or if preferred, at overseas locations to suit individual customers, reducing student travelling time and associated costs. And with a wide range of training programmes, from two-weeks to six-months’ duration, VT Flagship is ideally placed to respond to individual customer requirements.
