Supply Chain Management
Prime Contracting relies upon effective Supply Chain Management processes. As Illustrated below, VT Flagship organises its Supply Chain into a Cluster Management structure. This is to ensure the project imperatives are fully understood throughout the supply chain, and to enable development and delivery to be carried out efficiently by the most appropriate supply chain members.

Structure
The clusters are chaired by the VT Flagship Prime Project Manager who is appointed as a key and pivotal focus for successful management and delivery of the Project.
We believe that this structure allows us to effectively manage our supply chain partners. Grouping cluster members in related activities enables individual elements of design, construction etc. to be developed and delivered.
Cluster Leaders are identified and have responsibility for individual clusters, and in each case are long-term strategic supply chain partners. Cluster Members are encouraged to work collaboratively to deliver a ‘best value’ product to the client, rather than the traditional fragmented approach.
Through the Project Manager, VT Flagship chairs the cluster and design group meetings ensuring that all key parties interface with one another. The Project Manager has an essential role in this interface position, providing a unique link between the clusters and the Client. Our Project Manager responsibilities span:
• Safety, Health and Environment
• Quality
• Contractual operational requirements
• Continuous improvement
• Value engineering
• Interface between project delivery and customer
• Cluster management
• Chairing of design team meetings
• Inculcating Prime Contracting ethos in the team
• Development of the strategic brief
• Delivery to cost, time and quality
