Our Approach
All our English language training courses are designed with the customer’s end result in mind. We work closely with clients to establish their training needs and after listening to their requirements, we develop bespoke programmes that achieve the results clients are looking for.
Part of this process includes determining the standard of English required for the student’s next stage of training. This way we can set out the standards that students need to reach in order to succeed during the programme. To measure success, we use the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
We also ensure that:
- The English we teach is relevant; meaning students get the most out of their studies and the programme fulfils all of their learning requirements
- Course content is individual and bespoke to customers' needs
- The programme content takes into account the client’s background and culture
We also try, wherever possible, to incorporate practical applications which reinforce the new skills that the students have learnt such as physical education, leadership and team building exercises. As a result, the students benefit from the Royal Navy’s training expertise in these areas.
An example of this approach is our preparatory training for the Royal Navy Young Officers Course. We offer this training to international clients who wish their students to undertake the RNYOC and Naval General Training at Britannia Royal Naval College (Qatari Emiri Navy, Romanian Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman).
